Abstract

This panel provides an opportunity for discussion of how the program theme ("Change and Development Journeys into a Pluralistic World") relates to research and practice in organization communication and information systems. Each panelist will provide some thoughts related to one of four major challenge of the next millennium: -Organization Re-Design: Transforming the It Function -Values and Managing Change -Learning and Information Technology -New Issues of Information Privacy and Ethics Following the panel presentations, we anticipate a rich and lively audience discussion around the general questions: What are the implications of these challenges for the research and educational activities of scholars in Information Systems/ Organization Communication? As scholars and educators, what can we do to facilitate the change and development journey?
