Abstract

Multi-rater (360-degree) feedback systems involve performance feedback from multiple sources, including supervisors, subordinates, peers, self, and customers. While these programs are used in many organizations, there is a lack of information regarding how or even whether they work (Waldman, Atwater, & Antonioni, 1998). This symposium includes three papers that examine how individual differences, characteristics of the work environment, and rating source agreement affect employees' affective and behavioral responses to multi-rater feedback.
