Abstract

Evolutionary Psychology and the study of human nature are having an ever growing influence in fields from anthropology to economics, including cognitive and social psychology along the way. Some of those studying management and organization have been watching and even participating in this movement. This symposium brings together scholars who are asking (and helping to answer) two questions: (1) How can the study of our evolved human nature contribute to the study of management and organization, and (2) how can the study of management and organization shed light on our evolved human nature. The presentations in this symposium provide concrete examples of answers to those two questions.
