Abstract

This session explores the concept of change from a variety of points of views each of which reflects a perspective (or source of tension) about the role of change. Is change continuous or punctuated? Are the forces associated with change pushed by the past or pulled by the future? Is the imperative to seek change driven by the individual or by the structures and processes of the firm? The audience will be invited to explore these issues with participants and they take point and counterpoint positions on each side of these issues in an effort create some dynamism and tension around the topic. It extends the existing dialogues surrounding change by taking the session into a more speculative journey, seeking to produce provocative, yet productive tension.
