Abstract

ODC has changed and proliferated far beyond the expectations of its initial practitioners, consultants, and theorists. In many ways ODC remains attached to its original theoretical and behavioral roots while in practice it has strongly moved into operations management, knowledge management, and strategic change. To benchmark and trace developments during the past 25 years, this symposium brings together a panel of contributors who helped to shape the field and who served as early chairpersons of the ODC division. Each has contributed to theory and practice in the field and each brings a different perspective to an informative and comprehensive view of changes and future challenges in ODC.
